So. I've decided to take on a very ambitious project that I've been putting off for quite a while.

I want to work toward ending homelessness in Baltimore City by 2025.

Yeah, it's a big one but I believe it can be don if enough of the right people get involved and we think about ways to address the problem from as many sides as possible.
Not sure what the first step would be (other than announcing my intentions) so i started a fb group for those who want to help.

Hello! I think that is a great idea. I grew up in Baltimore and I believe a lot of the homeless that I have encountered have mental illnesses or addictions or a combination of the two. I think that has to be addressed in your quest to create homes for the homeless. On that note, my sister and I plan to create a vertical farming co-op in order to control the quality of our food supply since big Monsanto has basically ruined it. I hope to offer jobs to the homeless when we get this going. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. We definitely need better nutrition and a better sense of community.

Here is a good idea that I have found that might just work for the homeless project that you are working on. I contacted Fresh Freight Farms http://www.freightfarms.com/ to see if we could crowdfund a project in an urban setting such as Baltimore for the homeless to run an urban Freight Farm. This could work. Please let me know if you are interested as I have a meeting set up with the crowdfunding manager to get going on this. The average profit after costs is approximately 50k so that could definitely work if we could get several of these into action. It will promote independence and fortify the neighborhood with a viable business idea.
