My wife and I are trying to be independent and build our residence without fear of losing it. I am a carpenter, painter, builder, cabinet maker finisher with 20+ years in the trades.

It's crazy as originally Govt/Councils had been put together to help administrate land and roads, not to administrate people and society - it's gone upside down. You see when money = greed you get the thief who's hellbent on gaining as much as they can,much like a pyramid system. Only with a united front can we actually change things for the greater good.

There is something called, the right to contest, this enables communities (UK) to utilise land that is under used for the benefit of the community.

Remember it has to be a community start up that will provide services and benefits to the community around you. It's also worth contacting local 'charities' and farmers alike. Set up your own Council via a Trust, with a statement about who you are, what your aims are and what the principles are behind your philosophy, political or otherwise.
